Rick is an artist who lives and works in Cornwall. He studied for a Master’s Degree in Fine Art Printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art in 1996. Since then he has worked in various media, including acrylic, gouache, ink and watercolour.

Rick uses rich colours and optical techniques to create depth and movement in his work. For some, but by no means all of his work, he uses a device known as a ‘twin-elliptic harmonograph’ – a double pendulum which creates complex graphic images worthy of a powerful computer (see ‘Harmonography’ pages). His recent work involves the artistic representation of mathematical formulae.
